Gnostic Mass (Open)- Noon Sun. Dec 15, 2019

The Gnostic Mass will begin promptly at noon. Please arrive no earlier than 11:30am and no later than 11:55am.

If this is your first time at a Gnostic Mass, it’s a good idea to read the ritual ahead of time, so you’ll have some idea of what to expect. You can also watch a video 93 Impressions of a Gnostic Mass, or a video of the full Gnostic Mass.

$10 admission; free for dues-current WBL members. Admission fee waived for first-time visitors.

Jakob Böhme 6:00 – A discussion of the life and thought of Jakob Böhme the 16th century mystic and writer who brought an neoplatonist and alchemical influence to Protestant Christianity. A strong influence on anti-authoritarian movements and Rosicrucians, Böhme is a Saint of the Gnostic Canon.

Bathroom Prep Day Sun – 6 Oct, 2019 4-8PM

Potluck dinner/drinks/snacks and labor to make the Lodge Massapalooza ready

Event Description:

The shower floor is laid and should be tiled before October 6, 2019.  We need 3 -4 people to assist with the greenboard and possibly other prep steps to make the bathroom company ready.  If we have extra hands there is usually other prep work as well.  

Main Goal:  Get the drywall hung and prepped to take marine paint or tile. 

Other work (If not accomplished in earlier work sessions):

·         Prepping the bathroom to take paint (sanding and spackling and sanding again as needed)

·         Touching up the paint on the brick wall

·         Washing the library floor

·         Sewing of new house robes

·         Prepping the kitchen to take paint (sanding and spackling and sanding again as needed)

Cakes of Light Baking & Massapalooza Prep Day Sat – 28 Sep, 2019 10AM – 4PM

Event Description: 

Massapalooza is a large event where the Mass and similar rituals are performed by various mass teams.  William Blake Lodge hosts guests during this time and it is an opportunity to put our best foot forward.  In order to prepare for the big day a number of large tasks need to be done.  Many hands make light work and there are tasks for all skill levels and energies.

Main Goal:  Bake Cakes of Light supply for numerous masses.  If you have personal Cake of Light baking needs, we can fold those in as well.  No Baking Experience needed!  We will teach.  We have recipes!  We will bake all of the needed glute free ones and then move to gluten containing cakes to avoid cross contamination.

Other work:  

·         Touching up the paint on the brick wall

·         Washing the library floor

·         Sewing of new house robes
